The Knipser winery has been based in Laumersheim since 1876 as a family business and is located in the north of the Vorderpfalz between Grünstadt and Bad Dürkheim. The vineyards are located in Laumersheim, Großkarlbach and Dirmstein with a total vineyard area of 5 hectares. Since 1993, Knipser has been a member of the "VDP - The Prädikatsweingüter" and founding member of the German Barrique Forum.
